Building Slowly, Living Fully: Notes From My Founder Life
Lately, I’ve been asking myself:
What does it really mean to build a business as a mother, a dreamer, and a woman trying to live with purpose?
I didn’t start The Bean Walk to scale fast or chase sales.
I started it because I believed there was a better way to create — one that respects the child, the craft, the family, and the planet.
One that doesn’t just sell, but connects. Some days, I’m building with a clear plan. Other days, I’m building between school drop-offs, meals, and self-doubt.
But every day, I’m building with intention.
I want my daughter to grow up watching me build something rooted in values — not just beautiful clothing, but a life where work and purpose live side by side.
There’s a reason I choose homegrown brands. A reason I work with small makers, slow fashion, and family-run businesses.
Because it reflects the world I want her to grow up in — one that’s rich in story, culture, and care. And even when things move slowly, I remind myself:
🌱 Slow is not a delay.
🌱 Slow is a choice.
🌱 Slow is how we build something that lasts.
